Pray For Fort Wayne

As you pray for our city and region, please utilize the following seven prayer declarations. People all over the city are praying/declaring these things over Fort Wayne and the surrounding region, based on Zechariah 8.

• A city of restored and completed dreams (Zech 8:9)
• A city of prosperity and entrepreneurship (Zech 8:10-13)
• A city of redemption (Zech 8:14-15, 20-23)

A Message from GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies:
“I am zealous for Fort Wayne—I care!
I’m angry about Fort Wayne—I’m involved!”

GOD’s Message:
“I’ve come back to Fort Wayne,
I’ve moved back to Allen County.

Fort Wayne’s new names will be Truth City,
and Mountain of GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies,
and Mount Holiness.”

“Old men and old women will come back to Fort Wayne, sit on benches on the streets and spin tales, move around safely with their canes—a good city to grow old in.
And boys and girls will fill the public parks, laughing and playing—a good city to grow up in.”

A Message from GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies:
“Does it seem like there’s too much work and not enough people? Do you think anything is too hard for me?”

“I’ll collect my people from countries to the east and countries to the west. I’ll bring the prodigals back and move them into Fort Wayne.

Are you ready for them? Are you ready for the prodigals to return? Because they’re not going to look right, they won’t smell good – they’ll have the stench of pig manure on their clothes, their hair won’t be combed, they won’t dress right for church. The prodigals aren’t going to act the right way, the wrong words will come out of their mouths. Are you ready to throw the party anyway? Are you ready to blow the whole entertainment budget on the party? Are you ready to forgive the ones who have deeply wounded you? Are you ready to stop trying to prove that you were right? Because if there is any hint of “told-you-so” in our souls, they won’t come back.

The prodigals are returning, says the Lord, and they’ll be my people and I’ll be their God. I’ll stick with them and do right by them. I’ll celebrate them with a loud raucous party. Will you join me?”

A Message from GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies:
“We’ve come through a hard time: You worked for a pittance and were lucky to get that; the streets were dangerous; you could never let down your guard; I had turned the world into an armed camp. But things have changed. I’m taking the side of my core of surviving people:

Sowing and harvesting will resume,
Vines will grow grapes,
Gardens will flourish,
Dew and rain will make everything green
Businesses will prosper
God’s people will be abundant in generosity.

“You’ll get everything you need—and more. You’ve gotten a reputation as a bad-news people, you people of Fort Wayne and Allen County, but I’m coming to save you. From now on, you’re the good-news people. Don’t be afraid. Keep a firm grip on what I’m doing.”

A Message from GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies:
“At this time I’ve decided to bless Fort Wayne and the country of northeast Indiana. Don’t be afraid. And now here’s what I want you to do: Tell the truth, the whole truth, when you speak. Do the right thing by one another, both personally and in your courts. Don’t cook up plans to take unfair advantage of others. Don’t do or say what isn’t so. I hate all that stuff. Keep your lives simple and honest.”

“Because the days of mourning will be turned into days of feasting for Fort Wayne—celebration and holiday. So embrace truth! Love peace!”

A Message from GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies:
“People and their leaders will come from all over to see what’s going on. The leaders will confer with one another: ‘Shouldn’t we try to get in on this? Get in on GOD’s blessings? Pray to GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies? What’s keeping us? Let’s go!’

“Lots of people, powerful nations—they’ll come to Fort Wayne looking for what they can get from GOD-of-the-Angel-Armies, looking to get a blessing from GOD.”
