Heartland School Supply Giveaway!

Heartland volunteers have finished packing the 250 bags of school supplies for our school supply giveaway Sunday, August 1. It was great to see all the people turn out to help pack bags and donate their time to help. Even though it is a lot of work to collect, organize, and distribute the supplies, we are very excited to give them all away! Thank you to everyone who donated! 52 Families served at our Food Pantry last Sunday night!

We served 52 families through our Food Pantry last night and our faithful crew was here to almost 9:30 in order to serve everyone. I am so proud of the Heartland Food Pantry team that serves in our name.

June 2010 Youth Bonfire

The youth had an awesome afternoon at the Funnell’s last Sunday! There was swimming, volleyball, games, hot dogs, brats, many snacks, s”mores, great fellowship and of course a bonfire! Thanks to the Funnell family and all who came and made it a great day! Check out the pics in the gallery!

Worship Community Fellowship Night

The Worship Community is having a Fellowship Night on Saturday, August 7 at 6 pm! We look forward to a great night of worshiping, praying and being together again. It will be a potluck so we’re asking everyone to bring their favorite dish to share.

2010 HONA Reunion

The entire membership of the Heart of North America will gather on September 17 and 18 in Fort Wayne, IN for our first Regional AMiA Reunion. We’ll be joined by AMiA Chairman Bishop Chuck Murphy, Bishop Thad Barnum, AMiA Worship Director Andy Piercy, Chosen Leader Acton Beard, and Rivertree Stewardship’s Don Woodard. Each of these leaders will be helping us to lay the foundation stones for our next ten years of ministry together. You won’t want to miss this time of celebration, teaching and fellowship at one our region’s best worship facilities, Heartland Church. We’ve done everything possible to make this reunion a powerful, fun, and best of all, inexpensive time for everyone. We’re expecting a huge crowd, including you!

School Supply Giveaway

Sunday Aug. 1st will be the school supply giveaway. We will do it at 6 pm. We will need help putting bags together the week before. Also, keep your eyes open for good sales on school supplies. We always need crayons, pencils, folders, rulers, glue, erasers, Kleenex, washable markers, colored pencils, dry erase markers, etc.
