From RainSong…

A Very Big THANK YOU!! Chi Megwich!! to you our friends and to your friends who you encouraged to vote for us. RainSong has won the 2009 Native American Music Award in the “Best Spoken Word Recording” catagory for their CD “The Great Story from the Sacred Book”!

The 11th annual award ceremony was held in Niagara Falls New York at the Seneca Casino on October 3 2009. RainSong had been nominated for 2 catagories, “Best Gospel Recording” and “Best Spoken Word Recording”.

The ceremony was video taped and streamed on the internet. However, the “televised” portion only gave out 10 of the 21 awards. The category we won was announced during intermission and we received our award about 2am at the after party that was not “televised”. Our apologies to all who sat at their computers and faithfully watched the 3 hour show. It was a pretty good show… we enjoyed most of the performances. One thing that sticks out in my mind is the Best Spoken Word is God’s story…

We’re busy in the studio on our 5th CD… our 4th music CD…. We appreciate your prayers. It’s been a struggle… as with all things worth while.

Zha wen daa go zi (be blessed)
Terry and Darlene – RainSong
